Depop fees FAQ
Real questions sellers ask, with 2026 answers.
Why is the Depop selling fee 0% for US sellers?
Depop removed the selling fee for sellers in the US, UK and Australia. These sellers keep 100% of the item price and only pay the processing fee (Stripe: 3.3% + $0.45 in the US) on the sale. If you sell from anywhere else, Depop charges a 10% selling fee on the item price.
How does the Boosted Listings fee actually work?
Boost is not an upfront ad fee. You are charged 12% (US/UK) or 8% (other regions) of the item price + seller-arranged shipping only if a buyer interacts with the boost and purchases within 28 days. Since 23 March 2026, new boosts use these rates. In this calculator, ticking the boost option means the boost has already been triggered.
Why can't the calculator show my processing fee outside the US/UK?
Outside the US, UK and Australia, Depop Payments isn't available β sales go through PayPal, and PayPal's rates vary by region and account type. Depop doesn't publish those rates, so we mark them unverified β not included in calculation rather than guessing.
Do I pay a fee on shipping costs?
The selling fee applies to the item price, not tax. But if you're outside the US/UK/Australia and you don't use a Depop shipping label, the 10% selling fee also applies to the shipping amount. The processing fee is always calculated on item price + shipping + tax together.
Will eBay's acquisition of Depop change the fees?
eBay's roughly $1.2 billion acquisition of Depop is expected to close in Q2 2026. Ownership changes often bring fee changes, so treat these rates as current but not permanent β re-check Depop's official help pages before relying on them for pricing.
Does Depop charge a listing fee?
No listing fee is published in Depop's official fee schedule. Listing is free as far as the official documentation shows; there is also no published withdrawal fee, so we don't assume one.
How is the processing fee calculated?
Via Depop Payments (Stripe), the fee is charged on the item price + shipping + tax combined: 3.3% + $0.45 in the US, 2.9% + Β£0.30 in the UK. A $100 US sale with no shipping or tax costs exactly $3.75 in fees.
